First Full distance marathon with 18 months of running experience

God's control

At Gymnastics class, Chirag had a fall on his forehead. His nose and mouth was also hurt.
Instead of comforting him, I was mad at him for not balancing himself on hands, at the time of fall.
He was in pain to comment or react.
... after some time, he said, God controls all our moves. He is sitting in heaven and the whole Globe is his display screen. He playes various games (like his video games) on beings on Earth. He just forgot to press "spcae bar" when the obstacle came in my way...so, i fell down on my face..

thinking about God

I said," chirag, God is watching you! if you behave wrong, he will punish you."
He said, "WHere is God?"
My answer,"God is everywhere."
"But, I can't see him.." said he. "that's because, He is invisible.."
then he kept on thinking for a minute..

hmm.. Mum.. if God was visible.. we will not have place to live... Whole earth will be full of God.. the buildings, trees, animals, cars, toys, books, computers.... everywhere we will see God.. GOD .. GOD everywhere..

Rich and poor

It is very difficult to teach such topics. because being rich and poor are relative terms.

One day, when we were taking Chirag for a funfair, on our way, at the signal post some of the beggers came to ask for money.  We didn't offer any. on the next signal post, some kids came with huge hydrogen gas filled balloons and showed them to Chirag so he will ask us to get them.. but soon the signal was clear and we rushed to the fair. he enjoyed there. there were lots of rides, and fun things. there were huge H2 gas filled baloons for sale. They had various character's shapes. Chirag wanted to have one. The smallest of them was for Rs.500/- so, I just commented - I don't have money for your baloon! He did'nt isist.

On our way back. He saw the same kids with many ballons in thier hands to sale. so he asked me,'' Mom, these kids are very RICH.. they have so many baloons! I said they are selling them to get money. he said, they already had money to buy baloons, still why do they want more money?

any time, he saw taxi driver giving change (Coins) he thought, taxi driver is rich. and while reciving the money, he said, mom, we are becoming rich now..look so many coins in my hand!!

bringing up Chirag

As and when the time permits, I'll be writing about my experince about raising my son Chirag. My life revolves around him., his presence and absence..

He is learning about surnames. He usually goes to his best friend's house for a playdate. They are two brothers- Veerashva and Atimaay. Chirag said,'mom, veerashva's and Atimaay's surname is same- Poddar'. 'Yes, I said. because they are brothers..'
after few days onc of the guests asked his his name. He said, "CHIRAG" as usual.  Then they asked him what's your  full name? then came the answer,  "CHIRAG PODDAR!" then went on the explanation how his surname is Poddar! so, he treats himself as  big brother of Veerashva and Atimaay.
then, he says, BEN TEN's surname is Ten. ! and Chota Bhim's sirname is Bhim!  etc..
